Cloud computing is something I’ve always been interested in when I was able to rip all my CD’s and DVD’s onto a single drive and access them or play them, over the internet to my laptop for viewing in my free time. Going to BestBuy and asking the Geek Squad guys if they could help me figure out how to make this better, I got laughed at and told I was lying, that kind of technology didn’t exist yet. Not a really great moment for the Geek Squad in my opinion.
Now I’m an enthusiast, motivated from Minecraft, I’ve built my own cloud in my house. Continuously working on how to make our Minecraft server better so people and my kids would stop annoying me with complaints about “Lag”. Lag this, Lag that, everything was always Lag. And while I would be working on the “Lag” issues to free up some resources, now I had some room to make the server better! Which, created more “Lag”. It was a vicious circle that taught me the basics of backend and servers. I loved it. Now I host my own cloud, websites, games, it is so much fun!
